Birding Trips

The Lower Florida Keys offers some excellent birding all year around, for all different types of birds. We consistently see Herons, Egrets, Pelicans, Ospreys, Frigate Birds, White Crowned Pigeons, Cormorants and other species. Although I offer these trips year round, my favorite time for bird watching in the Keys is during the fall and winter months.  We have a lot of predatory birds that make their way south when the cold fronts start, usually around mid October, and you can see a variety of Hawks, American Kestrels, Peregrine Falcons, Northern Harriers and many other birds then.

Jamie is primarily a flats fishing guide, so his boat is not designed to take big groups of people out comfortably. The boat is designed to take 2 people out into nature and navigate remote, shallow ecosystems, very quietly.  He can get you into certain places that none of the other nature tour boats can go. Let Jamie know what types of wildlife you want to see and he will set the trip up to best meet those goals according to the tides and weather conditions of that day. You would want to bring binoculars, a good zoom lens for your camera and a maybe a jacket.
